Post-Secondary (non-varsity)

New this year, our Post-Secondary programming is aimed at senior-level athletes seeking to train and compete who are not members of a varsity program. Participation will be open to all interested athletes and will be divided into endurance and power speed groupings.

Post-Secondary Endurance (18+) - 800m-10,000m Track, XC & Road Racing

Cross Country

Coaches: Leslie Sexton, Steve Weiler

The post-secondary cross country program runs from September until November and has a competitive season that combines cross country and road racing. This group is open to post-secondary distance runners pursuing competitive racing opportunities, including UBC students who are not members of the varsity team, as well as post-collegiate and masters athletes.

Two workouts are offered per week with supplemental training (easy runs) provided for non-workout days.

Track 800m-10,000m

The post-secondary track & field program runs from December until July. This group is open to post-secondary distance runners pursuing competitive racing opportunities, including UBC students who are not members of the varsity team, as well as post-collegiate and masters athletes.

Two workouts are offered per week with supplemental training (easy runs) provided for non-workout days.

Road Running - 5km - Marathon

The post-secondary endurance program runs year round in conjunction with the post-secondary cross country (Fall) and Track (Spring/Summer) programming. . This group is open to post-secondary distance runners pursuing competitive racing opportunities, including UBC students who are not members of the varsity team, as well as post-collegiate and masters athletes.
