Named in memory of “Gunner” Shaw, a well-known and respected BC runner who passed away in 1984 at the age of 39, the Gunner Shaw Memorial Cross Country Race has been a fixture on the provincial cross country calendar for many years.

The Thunderbirds are proud to continue this traditional-style cross country race and its place in the local running community.

Expect a true cross-country experience featuring grass, trails, hills and sandy beach, with mud and puddles depending on the weather.
