Krista Levesque

President

Krista Levesque has been a member of the Vancouver Thunderbirds Track & Field community for more than a decade, initially as a parent and volunteer and now in her capacity as President of the Club. With two daughters who have advanced through the Thunderbirds athlete pathway—from Junior Development to varsity-level competition—Krista brings a deep, first-hand understanding of the impact that coaches, families, and teammates have on the development and well-being of young athletes.

Krista’s professional background spans more than 20 years as a Chartered Professional Accountant specializing in the non-profit sector, where she developed expertise in financial stewardship, organizational governance, and operational management. She later transitioned into youth education, program development, and health and wellness, becoming a Natural Nutrition Clinical Practitioner. Across these roles, Krista has consistently focused on building sustainable, people-centred systems grounded in collaboration, accountability, and long-term organizational health.

Krista assumed the role of President following a year of close mentorship and transition with outgoing President Nigel Hole, whose leadership significantly strengthened the Club’s structure and operations. She remains grateful for his guidance and looks forward to continuing to collaborate with him in his new role on the Board.

As President, Krista is committed to ensuring that the Vancouver Thunderbirds remain an accessible, inclusive, and athlete-centred organization. She is dedicated to working alongside the Board, coaching staff, families, and athletes to build upon the Club’s strong foundation and to advance its mission of fostering athletic excellence and community engagement.
