BC Pentathlon Championships Results

Vancouver Thunderbirds' athletes took top honours at the BC JD Pentathlon Championships on June 23rd at the South Surrey Athletic Park.                        

In the Girls 9 Year Olds event Chloe Cady took first spot with teammates Hella-Marie Dolman and Isabelle Forsyth taking 2nd and 5th spots. In the Boys event new member Xavier Kristen finished third, a great results given that this was his first attempt at some events in competition.

In the Girls 10 Year Old event Lucie Warrington finished 5th, with Shaunika Suriya and Heather Gadalla taking 10th and 17th spots.

The Boys 11 year old event saw Luka Dolman and Max Marshall take 1st and third spots; Luka winning all the events except for the shot put.

In the Girls 12 Year Old event Danielle Miller finished 9th , recording best performances in high jump, long jump, hurdles and the 800m.

In the Boys 13 Year event, Quinn finished in second, only 12 point shy of first place. Willem Palaty, Thomas Palaty and Dimitri Cunning also competed; finishing 7th, 11tyh and 13th; each achieving best performances in at least two events.

Sophie Pauls had a great event, finishing second in a very strong field of 15 year old girls and looks set to improve substantially at the Legion Championships later this summer.
