Weekend results at a glance

This weekend Thunderbird athletes competed in Vancouver at both the St Paddy’s 5K in Stanley Park and the Province Percy Williams Indoor Meet at the Richmond Oval.

In the St Paddy’s Day 5k we had Thunderbird winners on both the men’s and the women’s side. Lucas Bruchet won the race in 14:22, and club-mate Rachel Cliff won in 16:05. Other top place finishes came from Stan Jang who was 2nd in the Men’s 45-49 age group with 16:42 and Erica Digby who was 3rd in the female race with 16:50.

At the Richmond Oval we had some throwers competing including Vikram Parahoo who placed 1st in the open division with 9.10m and Michelle Dadson who was 2nd in the midget division with 11.98m. Also in the midget division was Riley Gooksetter who placed 3rd with 11.37m, and Thunderbird Don Allemeersch claimed first place in the Masters 59-64 division with a throw of 12.52m.
