Pinetree Classic

Old and young take top places at the Pinetree Classic.

A rainy day greeted the runners for the second race in the JD Series. 

In the 2005-06 race, Maya Beachler had a convincing win by 40seconds, with Carolyn Uhrich running well for 13th place, and Susanna Mattman finishing fifth in the 2006 category.

In the 2003--‐2004 race, Sophie Forsyth took 1st place in the 2004 category in front of team mates Finley Butler (6th), Sophie Kazimirski (8th), and Delia Warrington (10th). Makenna Baechler finished 8th in the 2003 category, with Paul Paetzel finishing a strong 6th in the boys 2003 race.

Dylan Uhrich and Christian Petersen ran closely to finish 3rd and 5th in the 2002 category.

Not to be outdone by the younger runners, some of the senior runners and parents ran in the open and masters races. Gavin Forsyth took 1st place in the 45 to 49 age group, a position duplicated by Stephen Symon in the 50 to 54 age group, Chris Taylor and Sara Forsyth both taking second spots in the 20 to 29 and 40 to 44 age categories respectively.
