Strong performances at University of Washington

Congratulations to Thunderbirds Stephanie Cho, Kenny Schultze and Stephen Abosi, who competed at the high performance meet at the University of Washington this past weekend.

Stephen Abosi ran a smoking 60m- 6.88! A huge pb from last year's 7.04. He finished 8th in a field that included US Olympic sprinter Ryan Bailey, professional athletes and many NCAA division 1 leaders. His performance would rank him 3rd among Senior men in Canada...except he's from Botswana! Stephen also ran a 200 meters-indoor pb (22.8 ), despite a conservative race due to minor injury.

Stephanie Cho ran 57.85 in the 400m (10th place among an elite field).  This is an Indoor pb and nearly a pb  for her past outdoor performances! This performance ranks her 1st in Canada among indoor Junior women. Stephanie also advanced to 60m hurdle semifinals and PBd with 9.43.

Kenny Schultze ran a blazing 8.59 in the senior men's 42 inch high hurdles and was 14th overall among NCAA div 1 stars!  This was his first competition at this hurdle height.

Jerome indoor is next, and we are looking forward to everyone doing their best and showing Thunderbird Spirit.
