Thunderbirds Bring Home Solid Performances from the Junior National Championships in PEI

The Thunderbirds took home three gold, one silver, and a handful of personal bests at the new track facility in Charlottetown, PEI over the weekend. Rohan Stewart won the 400 in 47.96, over half a second faster than the second place runner, and followed this performance with a 20.92 win in the 200. He was also part of the winning 4x400 team and has secured his place on the Canadian Pan-Am Junior team. Ross Enns pulled out a 400-point personal best in the decathalon, winning a silver medal with a 6220 point performance and qualifying for the Pan-Am Juniors team as well. Sophie Tran and Danielle Douglas both made personal bests over the weekend, Douglas running the 100 in 12.92 seconds and the 200 in 26.91 seconds and Tran finishing the 100 in 13.01 seconds and the 200 in 26.43 seconds. Finally, Matt Daly-Grafstein placed third in the second section finals of the men's 110m hurdles with a time of 15.01.
