With the Cross-Country season coming to an end, the province has recognized Vancouver Thunderbird athletes for their performances in the Lower Mainland Cross-Country Series.
Four Thunderbirds picked up top 3 honors: Maya Baechler and Sophie Forsyth both won their series; Maya as a 10 year old and Sophie as an 11 year old. Picking up third place awards were Susanna Mattman, in the 9 year old Division, and Dylan Ulrich (13 year old Boys).
In addition, twelve Thunderbirds athletes earned top ten finishes: Finley Butler (4th in the 11 year old Girls), Makenna Baechler (4th in the 12 year old Girls), Paul Paetzel (5th in the 12 year old Boys), Christian Petersen (6th in the 13 year old Boys), Francis Sadleir (6th in the 11 year old Boys), Katia Lumb (6th in the 15 year old Girls), Sophie Kazimirski (6th in the 11 year old Girls), Alyssia Mattman (7th in the 14 year old Girls), Cole Gladders (7th in the 13 year old Boys), Calum MacKenzie (9th in the 15 year old Boys), Luca Spinu (9th in the 9 year old Boys), Bridgett Baziw (9th in the 14 year old Girls), and Carolyn Ulrich (10th in the 10 year old Girls).
