Cliff Takes Silver at Canadian Cross Country Championships

Senior distance runner Rachel Cliff achieved her highest ever finish at a National Championship this past Saturday, placing 2nd at the Canadian Cross Country Championships at Jericho Beach. Leading for much of the race, Rachel held on bravely for second place after being passed by eventual winner Natasha Woodak in the final kilometer.

Congratulations to Rachel and her coach Chris Johnson!
Also competing in the National Cross Championships were 15 year-old Calli Charlton (33rd in the Junior Women's race), Laurel Martin (114th in the Junior Women's race) and Mackenzie Wong (121st in the Senior Men's race). Spencer Terry, Thomas Samis (9th), Nico Quinn (3rd) and Luke Mantle (4th)  participated well in the community race.
Congratulations to all!
